1 | OCTOBER ROSARY – October Rosary recitation at the BSC Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes are as follows:
During weekends, Rosary will be recited in the Church 30 minutes before Mass begins. |
2 | 24th ANNUAL WORLDWIDE CHILDREN’S EUCHARISTIC HOLY HOUR will be celebrated on Friday, 10th October, 8:00 pm at Blessed Sacrament Church. This sacred tradition is a wonderful opportunity for our children to come together in prayer, adoration, and reflection before the Blessed Sacrament, joining the children worldwide to pray for peace.
We warmly invite parents, children, and parishioners to join in this meaningful gathering, nurturing their spiritual growth and deepening their connection with Christ. There will be NO monthly Holy Hour in October. Please come and join the Annual Worldwide Children’s Eucharistic Holy Hour on Friday, 10th October. |
3 | SALES AT BSC COMPOUND FOR THE HOME OF PEACE – Several stalls will be set up by our BSC Lay Ministries, offering cooked food, plants, cookies, BBQ pork, and other items on Sunday, 5th October, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at Blessed Sacrament Church. All purchases can be made using Home of Peace coupons or cash. All proceeds will go to support the Home of Peace. Come and show your generous support! |
4 | ALL SOULS’ DAY FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS – NOW OPEN FOR BOOKING – Flower arrangements with a candle are available for RM35 each. Pre-orders are open until 25th October, with collection from 25th October to 2nd November. Booking forms are available outside the church entrances. All proceeds will go towards supporting the church’s weekly fresh flower expenses. Thank you for your support! |
5 | THE SEASON OF CREATION runs from 1st September (i.e. World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation) to 4th October (the feast of Saint Francis of Assisi) each year. This month, we also begin a 5-year “Protect our Earth, Protect our Children” (OR PROTEC 2.0) campaign titled “REGENERATE!” which will run until the year 2030.
Between now until 31st August 2026, the Malaysian Church will focus on the Regeneration of Flora and Fauna, preserve biodiversity, natural habitats, support wildlife conservation, and say ‘NO’ to consumption of endangered wildlife or products. |
6 | CARMELITE SAINTS TALK by Fr. Philip Tay, OCD will be organised by Christ the King, OCDS Kuching on Friday, 14th November, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at St. Augustine Room, Parish Centre. This talk will help to deepen our understanding and appreciation of the spiritual richness of the Carmelite tradition in the Carmelite Saints – holy men and women who have journeyed the path of contemplative prayer, sacrifice and deep union with God. 7 | VOCATION PROMOTION: LIFE DIRECTION WEEKEND 2025 with the theme: “What do you want me to do for you” (Mark 10:51) will be organised from 22nd to 23rd November at St. John de Brebeuf Catholic Church, Kampung Tematu for participants who are interested to know more about the priesthood or religious life.
Those interested can collect the registration form from St Joseph’s Parish Office and submit by Sunday, 2nd November. The Commitment fee is RM30 per head. Below are some critieria for interested participants:-

THE BUNAN RESILIENCE PROJECT is a pilot project of the Archdiocese of Kuching to support the farmers of Bunan by marketing their produce in Kuching. By doing so, we help them to remain economically resilient in the face of growing uncertainties. Orders received by Thursday noon each week can be collected on Saturday mornings at either the ACCPC car park (St. Joseph’s Cathedral ground) OR Holy Trinity Church, Kenyalang.
